William A Forsythe is an internationally sought after choreographer and   director. He has worked in theatre, concerts, film, television, special events and every other conceivable area of the Entertainment Industry both nationally and internationally.

William is highly regarded when it comes to creating live performances and so it comes as no surprise that many artists and clients come back to William time and time again when they have a major world event to create.

Jane Beckett was born in London and began her dance training at the age of five. She was accepted into the Royal Ballet School at the age of eight. In 1964 her parents immigrated to Melbourne, Australia and Jane continued her balletic studies at the National Ballet School / Kathleen Gorham and then the Australian Ballet School.

After completing the two year Diploma Course at the ABS she joined Ballet Victoria. Jane then went to Europe and was accepted into the Ulmer Theatre Ballet Company in West Germany dancing in a variety of roles from ballet to musical comedy.


She returned back to Australia in 1978, and danced on many TV Shows, Commercials, Club Engagements and performed in the musicals The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Evita and West Side Story.

Jane began teaching in 1980, and started choreographing in 1982. Her dance group State of the Art won the TV Show Star Search in 1986. She has choreographed for Barry Humphries, John Farnham and the Fabulous Singlettes.

In 1995 Jane was asked by David Atkins to take on the position of Performing Arts Principal for Dynamite Dance Studios. When Brent Street Studios took over in 1997, they asked her to stay on as Principal. Jane was affiliated with Brent Street Studios until 2005. She is now Head of Dance at The McDonald College.

Over the years she has developed a unique choreographic style, mixing ballet/contemporary and jazz in an eclectic mix.

 

 

Danielle Cook

Danielle Cook

Danielle has been involved in stage and performance since the age of five, training in all aspects of performing arts. She studied at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence graduating with a Diploma in Classical Ballet and continued to grow as a young performer finishing ED5 International Full Time Performing Arts Course in 2006.


Since beginning her professional career, Danielle has had the chance to work with some of Australia’s finest choreographers including Kelley Abbey, William Forsythe, Dein Perry, The Squared Division, Project Moda, Leah Howard and Matt Lee.

Danielle has also worked with such artist’s as Natalie Bassingthwaite, Tina Arena, Rickie Lee, Marcia Hines, Sam Sparro, Macy Gray, Jessica Mauboy at the 2009 Aria Awards and has toured with the internationally acclaimed Le Grande Cirque. She has also featured in numerous television commercials including Franklins, McDonalds, Artline, Flip HD Camera, So You Think You Can Dance 2010 and Bonds.

Danielle will be making her stage debut in the upcoming production of Fame, choreographed by Kelley Abbey, the show will be touring nationally in 2010 and 2011.

 

 



Mitchell trained in all aspects of dance with Glenda Yee and in particular tap with Glenn Wood. Since the age of ten he has performed in such musicals as The Boy From Oz (Young Peter), Jolson! (Little Sammy) and Singin' In The Rain (Young Don).

Mitchell then performed in three films clips and numerous corporate events for Nikki Webster. At the age of 15, he joined Dein Perry’s Tapdogs and participated in numerous events, till he went on tour at the age of 18 for the tenth anniversary of the show. Mitchell travelled around Australia, South Africa, Europe and Asia for the anniversary tour.


The following year Tapdogs performed in Qatar for the International dance festival. Mitchell was then lucky enough to perform again in The Boy from Oz starring Hugh Jackman, as a member of the ensemble. The following year he travelled throughout UK, Europe and Russia for Tapdogs and participated in the Bicardi B live festival in India.

Mitchell has also worked for William A. Forsythe as a backup dancer for Marcia and Deni Hines at the ‘06 Idol finale, and Katie and Wayne Scott Kermond in their corporate show. Television credits include, Girl TV, The Big Arvo, The Footy Show, GMA, Mornings with Kerri-Anne, Today, Sunrise, Australia Day awards '05 and Home and Away.

 

Tina Pollard

Tina Pollard Tina trained in Adelaide at the Gwen Mackay School of Dance in all aspects of Jazz, Theatrical, Classical, Tap and Ballroom. She is a qualified CSTD Teacher with a Diploma in Theatrical and Tap.

Tina’s first show was at age 16 in Annie Get Your Gun starring Toni Lamond and she has worked consistently in the industry ever since.

Tina’s wide ranging career has seen her performing overseas in Monte Carlo & London, including NBC TV specials for Paul Anka & Donna Summer and working at several prominent London venues.

In Australia she has performed in many and varied shows, corporate, television and private engagements. She became one of Adelaide’s leading choreographers with television, road shows, cabaret and corporate events to her credit.

Tina was Dance Director for leading Adelaide school ‘The Studios’ and the Johnny Young Talent School for many years.

Tina is also an experienced and in demand choreographer for fashion parades with clients including David Jones, Myer, George Gross, Osh Kosh, Mini Minors, Ready Set Go and Big W.

Tina also has extensive experience in other aspects of the Entertainment Industry having run a successful Childrens Agency, worked with producers Grayboy Entertainment and as an Entertainment Consultant for a leading corporate booking agency.

 


ARAD Solo Seal

Kim Traynor trained in Scully – Boravansky, attaining her R.A.D Solo Seal. After completing her studies at the Royal Ballet School in London she joined the Deutsche Opera Am Rhein, Düsseldorf. Upon her return to the Australian Ballet she toured extensively to China, the Middle East and Europe.


Together with MR Kevin Coe OBE and Miss Donna Traynor, Kim the founded the New South Wales College of Dance servicing the Professional dance community with their Junior School in Sydney. She has been with the Victorian College of the Arts and Lecturer in Classical Ballet and Currently freelances throughout Sydney, Newcastle, Victoria and New Zealand and well as adjudicating Senior Eisteddfods.

 

Ryan Mortimer

Ryan Mortimer Originally from Adelaide, Ryan graduated from the Victorian College of The Arts in 1999 with a Bachelor of Dance.

Ryan’s musical theatre credits included: Saturday Night Fever (u/s Bobby C, Gus)   Skimbleshanks in CATS, The Wizard Of Oz, and How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. Ryan spent two years at the Tokyo Disney Resort, performing in Sail Away, and One Mans Dream II


For Opera Australia Ryan danced in over 10 productions including: The Mikado, The Love For Three Oranges, Des Fledermaus, Julius Caesar and the Millennium 2000 Opera Gala at The Sydney Opera House.

As a commercial dancer Ryan worked with some of Australia’s leading choreographers and performers including Marcia Hines, Caroline O’Connor, Christine Anu, William Forsythe and Jason Coleman. He also toured throughout Asia with Millennium entertainment as a dancer. choreographer/director,  and stage manager. Ryan performed with contemporary dance company TASDance, and choreographed a contemporary dance work at The University of Western Sydney for their second year students.

Ryan has taught at The University of Western Sydney, The University of New South Wales, Sydney Dance Company, Sydney Dance Zone and ED5. Ryan is also a certified Pilates instructor.

 

Originally from the USA, Leslie moved to Sydney from New York City in 2000, leaving behind an extensive performing career spanning nine Broadway musicals, and five National touring Broadway productions.

She was last seen on Broadway in the Tony award winning musical Chicago where she played 'Mona' featured in the show-stopping Cell Block Tango.


Other credits include Ragtime, Victor/Victoria, My Fair Lady, State Fair, Steel Pier, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and My Favorite Year.

She has had the privilege of working for many award-winning choreographers including Susan Stroman, Rob Marshall, Randy Skinner, Ann Reinking and Jerome Robbins.

Since moving to Sydney, she has been teaching and choreographing for theatre, corporate and charitable events.

 

 

Aaron Farley


Aaron began his professional career as an Expo 88 youth dancer at Sydney's Bicentennial Fair.  His theatre credits included Sesame Street Live, Hot Shoe Shuffle (Dance Captain) Australian tour and London's west end, Cinderella, Me And My Girl, Aladdin, Crazy For You (Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer for the Australian tour), Gala Opening for the Regent Theatre Melbourne, Showboat, Chicago (Dance Captain), Singin' In The Rain and The Witches of Eastwick.

Aaron was Assistant Choreographer on Mushroom 25 years; Kylie Minogue, Choreographer for Cairns Casino , Cold Chisel's Last of Summer tour, Cosima Devito Sleaze Ball and Mary Kaini Mardi Gras.  He performed with Kylie Minogue at closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympics and the Opening Ceremony for the Para-Olympics also Tina Cousins and Bond.   He has also appeared on The Midday Show and Dein Perry's feature film Bootmen.

Natasha began dancing as soon as she could walk at her mother’s dance school on the Central Coast “Crane Academy Of Dance”.  She attended Newtown High School of Performing Arts for years 11 and 12, and after finishing school spent two years teaching, choreographing and studying in L.A. at “The Edge” “Millenium” & “Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio”. 

She then moved on to study at Danceworld 301 as part of a full-time diploma performing arts course, followed by studying at ED5 International under direction of William A. Forsythe receiving a certificate IV in performing arts.


Natasha shares her interests between choreography and performance and is actively pursuing all aspects of her career in the entertainment industry.

Natasha is currently teaching in many dance schools both in Sydney and on the Central Coast. Being trained in all styles of dance she has a flair and passion for hip hop, contemporary, jazz and musical theatre. Throughout her dancing life she has been fortunate enough to be taught and inspired by some fantastic mentors such as William Forsythe, Kelley Abbey, Andre Fuentes & Tony Czar.


 



Scott started as a professional from an early age when he became lead vocalist at Australia's Wonderland at 18, continuing in this role for 4 years.

He then became Lead Vocalist Entertainer for P&O Cruises, Costa Cruises & Princess Cruises, and has sailed the world several times appearing on many ships including Pacific Sky, Pacific Princess, Costa Romantica & Tahitian Princess, Fair Princess & even the Fairstar.

He starred in Firefly the Musical at Cairns Reef Casino for 18 months.

His Musical theatre credits include Evita, the national tour of Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, & the Sydney season of Sweet Charity at the Capitol Theatre.

Scott is currently Musical Director for Grayboy Entertainment & now trains all of the lead vocalists for 5 ships around the world.

Sheena is a highly acclaimed, versatile, trained and experienced singer. From her humble beginning at the age of 5 on the stage of the Minlaton Town Hall - (they always put her up the front because she sang the loudest) to touring Australia and Asia.

In High School she started a rock band and her mum fearing the worst with all the screaming put her into singing lessons, the rest as they say is history!
Her first professional show was for the South Australian Youth Opera at 14, then completing a Bachelor of Music - Voice.

A young dramatic soprano in the making but her love for music theatre and popular music sent her in another direction. Shows from that time include - Frankie, The Rhyme of the Ancient Marnier, The Snow Queen, The Boys from Syracuse, Barossa, The Beggars Opera, Side By Side By Sondheim.

Her dream of performing with John Farnham came true when she was cast in Harry M Miller’s Jesus Christ Superstar - the arena spectacular, touring Australia. Then followed South Pacific -Australia and Asia for the Gordon Frost organisation. Then like deja vu came return tours with both Jesus Christ Super Star and South Pacific.

In ‘02 Sheena returned to the music theatre stage after a period of concentrating her talents on Cabaret, Corporate Entertainment and Teaching to understudy the lead role in Jacobsen’s - The Witches of Eastwick.
The bands Sheena has been lead singer for are far too many to mention (starting at 16! - yes she had a chaperone!) But most recently you will have seen her in such corporate bands as Horn Stars, The Big Big Band, Baby Loves to Cha Cha, Big Radio Dynamite.

Sheena has self devised two one woman cabarets. Performed, co-directed and musically directed Lemon Delicious for Mardi Gras 02 - 05 for the Newtown Theatre and also performed in Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins.
TV and film credit include Flat Chat, All Saints and the feature film Dags to name a few.

Sheena is a well respected music and voice teacher currently teaching at AIM (Australian Institute of Music). Most recently Sheena has been a part of the corporate entertainment company ‘Bodacious Production’ and their flag ship show ‘The Super Supremes’. Currently Sheena is also performing as Dusty Springfield in her own tribute show to the ‘White Lady of Soul’ to rave reviews and sold out houses.

 

 


John Rowe has used his vast range of talents throughout 20 years experience to entertain hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. Starting as a performer, then channelling his creative energies into musical direction, composition, writing, stage directing and performance coaching, John has developed a truly well rounded and unique perspective into the creative process.

The result is a wealth of experience working on an eclectic mix of successful productions. He devised, created, wrote and directed 4 years worth of live entertainment and events as Show and Entertainment Director for Sydney theme park, Australia’s Wonderland. He has written and directed the opening ceremony for Dubai Summer Surprises 2 years running, televised live throughout the Arab region. For several years he has filled the role of Creative Director for Millennium Entertainment International, writing and directing family and corporate entertainment, arena shows and major festivals throughout Asia and the Middle East . He has written and directed live shows for the biggest entertainment companies in the world, including Walt Disney and Warner Brothers. He has worked as both musical director and performance coach for on board productions for P&O, Princess Cruises, Awani Dream and NCL cruise liners. He recently wrote, composed and directed Cartoonival, a large scale touring musical for Cartoon Network in Asia.

John holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree, which has not only exposed him to reaching young people through music, but has lead him into a career in music producing and composition. As a composer, John has written music for a television pilot and short films, as well as for numerous live stage shows. LG Electronics commissioned him to write a promotional theme song for worldwide release. He has composed original music for live stunt shows Action Man Live and Spiderman Live and written an entire mini pop musical based on the story of The Nutcracker. His English compositions for children have been featured throughout Asia and the Middle East in several languages.

Throughout all this creative work, John has had to maintain a close working relationship with all kinds of performers. From choreographing singers, directing actors and staging musical numbers, he is continually working to bring out the best in performances. His own performance background as a singer and singer/dancer is invaluable in achieving this. John has performed in cabaret, musical theatre, pop shows and bands. He has appeared as a soloist on television shows like Good Morning Australia (Ch 10) and The Midday Show (Ch 9), in live events like Channel 7’s Sydney Carols in the Domain, the opening of Fox Studios Australia and as one of the lead roles in the hugely successful Australian tour of Grease: The Arena Spectacular.  

In 2006 John began working as the performance coach for the top rating TV show Australian Idol for Network 10, workshopping contestants, choreographing the weekly group numbers and staging the Opera House Grand Finals.

In 2008 he appeared on TV, DVD and CD as a special guest for Dorothy the Dinosaur’s Memory Book. He also directed the 2008 Victorian State Schools Spectacular, held at Melbourne’s Vodafone Arena, featuring 2500 singers, dancer, actors and musicians.

John is currently starring as James the Butler in the Wiggles produced musical children’s TV show, The Kingdom of Paramithi airing on Channel 9 and Nick Jr.

Saskia graduated from the NIDA in 2001 with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art (Acting).

Her theatre credits include The Tempest (Sydney Theatre Award Nomination) and As You Like It for the Bell Shakespeare Company, In Our Name for Company B Belvoir, and the musicals Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Cabaret – the Musical directed by Sam Mendes (Green Room Award), and Dirty Dancing – the Classic Story on Stage.

On screen, Saskia has appeared in Home and Away, All Saints, Small Claims and the film The Rage in Placid Lake. In 2004 she received both the Mike Walsh Foundation Fellowship, and the Gloria Dawn and Gloria Payten Foundation Fellowship, enabling her to study in Paris, London and New York.  Saskia also teaches yoga.

 

 

Cale Bain

Cale Bain

Cale Bain has been performing improvised comedy theatre for over 20 years, since starting at the age of 13 years old in Toronto, Canada.

He has performed, directed and workshopped all over the world with some of comedy's biggest luminaries. He is a graduate if the Second City Conservatory program and has performed with the company's touring group.

Since having come to Australia in 2006, Cale has been fundamental in creating a vibrant improv comedy scene beginning with directing and producing some of Sydney biggest shows like the Theatresports National Championships, Celebrity Theatresports and The Cranston Cup Grand Final, all at the Enmore Theatre. He continues to teach actors of all levels around the country and is on the faculty at the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art. 

Cale is also very familiar with voice skills as he works in radio and teaches journalism and media studies at the University of Technology Sydney.

Stephen is a graduate of VCA, The Australian Ballet School and NIDA. He has worked as resident director on Dirty Dancing, The Full Monty The Musical, The Rocky Horror Show and Cabaret. He directed Cabaret in Madrid, Seoul and Paris on behalf of Sam Mendes the original director.

For Darlinghurst Theatre Company Stephen directed Fit To Be Tied, Boston Marriage, Dying City and Hello Again, which he also choreographed. For The New Theater he directed and choreographed Little Shop of Horrors.


Stephen assisted Richard Roxburgh on Twelfth Night at Belvoir Street, Richard Wherrett, Adam Cook, and Helmut Bakaitis.

He appears in the films Moulin Rouge and Scooby Doo and performed in Beauty and the Beast, My Fair Lady, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Wizard of Oz. He has danced with the Australian Ballet Company, The Royal Ballet of Flanders, Feld Ballet NY and numerous seasons with Opera Australia, including Neil Armfeld’s The Eighth Wonder and Barry Kosky’s Nabucco.

Craig began dancing at twenty years of age and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Western Sydney where his majors were Ballet, Contemporary and Yoga.

Since graduating he has worked in over fifteen countries worldwide in a range of work covering Film, Television, Commercial Dance, Musical Theatre, Special Events, Conventions, Theatre and Club Gigs.

Film credits include Baz Luhrman's Moulin Rouge with Nicole Kidman and Bruce Beresfords Paradise Road with Glenn Close.

Australian television credits include The Logie Awards, The Midday Show with Kerrie Ann, The Footy Show (Musical Special), Disney Channel Launch, Breakers, Elle McFeast, D.I.V.A Awards and the Opening of Fox Studios Australia as well as appearances on MTV Asia and in the UK.

Stage credits include Saturday Night Fever (UK & Australasian Tour – 1st cover Fusco/Father Frank & Lead Dancer), Pirates of Penzance 20th Anniversary Tour (Australia – Dance Captain), Peter Pan (UK – Dance Captain, 1st cover Hook), Cinderella (UK – 1st cover Prince Charming), Star Wars 20th Anniversary Stage Show (Asia), Disney’s Magical Moments (Asia) & Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame Launch (State Theatre Sydney).

As a commercial dancer his first major job was with Bangarra Dance Company performing at the Closing Ceremony of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games and his latest job was in early 2007 where he toured with Sir Cliff Richard for the second time throughout the UK and Europe; he also assisted William A Forsythe for Cliff’s 1992 performances at The Royal Albert Hall London and Edinburgh Castle Scotland.

Other names Craig has been fortunate enough to work with are Dannii Minogue, Tina Arena, Marcia Hines, Vanessa Amorossi, Natalie Bassingwaithe, Suzy-Ray, Deni Hines, Human Nature, Islander, Tina Cousins, Jimmy Sommerville, John Paul Young, Blondie, The Bee Gees, Christine Anu, Shaggy, Cate Blanchet, Glenn Close and Hugh Jackman. He has been lucky enough to work a number of times with Kylie Minogue including the Closing Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

He has worked in conventions, special events, hair/fashion and club shows for Diesel, Levi, Hound Dog, McDonalds, Lexus, Toyota, Aussie Boys, Intel Pentium II, Daily Male & Telstra to name just a few.

Craig was lead vocalist for the Opening of Universal Studios Japan and performed with vocal groups 'Smash' and 'Backstreet Five' in Australia as well as lead vocalist at Australia’s Wonderland where he also choreographed a number of shows.

Other choreographic credits include the launch of the movie Chicago in London, Australian Fashion Weeks, Athens Flag Handover Closing Ceremony Sydney 2000 Paralympics, Bananas in Pyjamas, Star Cruises, House of Lear (Operei Dance Theatre), Little Big Foot (Royal Court London), 'Spinning Around' CD Launch Australia, Diesel Underwear (Singapore),  D.I.V.A Awards for Foxtel, Mardi Gras Parade and as Resident for Studebakers Asia/Australia.

He was also resident choreographer for Millennium Entertainment for five years where he choreographed and directed over twenty shows in ten different countries including Warner Brothers, Cartoon Network, Noddy, Mr Men, Modesh, Broadway Show, Cinderella, ATP Tennis Tour and the first ever full scale Western Show to perform in Saudi Arabia. Craig was also assistant to Jason Coleman for the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympics “Arrivals” and assisted William A Forsythe for Kylie Minogues Performance at the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympics Sydney.
