Deborah began studying in Perth under Peta Norton at the age of three and quit at the age of four … luckily her eldest sister never did, and at nine she re-started and is now highly trained and accomplished in classical ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, highland dancing and acrobatics, gaining a wealth of knowledge which she passed on to students of her own successful dance studio for 12 years. Along with her dance training, she has qualifications in Health and Fitness (Cert III & IV), Sports Science (BSc) and Sports Training. Her first international contract saw her working in an Asian theme park at age 17, with various tours worldwide thereafter. When back in Australia, she was featured regularly in parades for Spiers Model Management, launching several well known fashion lines and products. During this time, she also worked for companies such as Disney Live!, Promotechnics, Burswood Casino, Popcorn! and Bent Knee Creative. Her professional performance experience in Australia has seen her work with such artists as Bjork (support band for Australia Tour), Vanessa Amorosi, Jimmy Barnes, Renee Geyer, Madison Avenue, Ally Fowler, Ronn Moss and Todd McKenney. From 2003, she has toured extensively with Grayboy Entertainment (Sydney), Princess Cruises (LA) and P&O Cruises Australia (Sydney). Her association with these companies include the roles of Dance Captain and Assistant Cruise Director and most recently, teaching Production Shows to resident entertainers where she is responsible for rehearsing and introducing new casts to all technical aspects of each show onboard. Currently Deb is teaching for and working with William A. Forsythe, ED5 International and Dein Perry and also adjudicates for Sydney Eisteddfod, Onstage Performing Arts Competition and several others Australia wide. On regular return to Perth, she choreographs Corporate Event entertainment for Bent Knee Creative CATEGORY Dance
